Congratulations! You are about to finish or have finished your undergraduate degree, participated in LSAMP activities, and are now aspiring to join a group of LSAMP BD Fellows who attend graduate schools around the United States. The LSAMP BD program provides funding along with professional development activities. The activities are mandatory and are not separate from the funding. All of UMBC’s BD Fellows participate in the traditions of the program such as applying for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program, attending BD meetings, and completing the BD projects. All BD Fellows participate in programs that are co-sponsored by the BD program, The Graduate School at UMBC, and the University System of Maryland’s PROMISE AGEP. They also share in select activities that are sponsored by the Meyerhoff Graduate Fellows Program, research centers at the university, and external national programs such as the Southern Regional Education Board’s Institute on Teaching and Mentoring.
All BD Fellows at UMBC must subscribe to the MyUMBC LSAMP BD website to receive internal information: http://my.umbc.edu/groups/lsampbd
