Congratulations to Brenitra Mosely, Former BD, new direction
From EE to Patent Office to Cybersecurity Scholar
The UMBC LSAMP BD program is proud of former scholar, Brenitra Mosley. Brenitra (Jackson State LSAMP), was a BD Fellow at UMBC in the EE program. Her interests changed and she left UMBC to become an award-winner Patent Examiner with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Brenitra remained connected to UMBC, and on occasion would still participate in activities of PROMISE: Maryland's AGEP.
Following time with the USPTO, Brenitra served as a systems analyst and senior patent agent for other organizations. She has just announced exciting news, and has consented to allow us to share with the LSAMP BD community that she will be starting a new academic journey at Utica College, established by Syracuse University.
"I was accepted into Utica College and started my Masters in Cybersecurity. Now, I have been accepted for the Cisco Cybersecurity Scholarship Program, where I will be one of the first to receive the CCNA [Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)] Cyber Ops Certification"
Brenitra expressed her excitement by saying that this is the moment that she has been waiting for, and that dreams do come true. Congratulations Brenitra! We're proud of you and cheer you on as you pursue your goals.
