On May 6, 2017, PROMISE AGEP will be hosting its annual PROMISE AGEP Friends and Family Cookout! You are invited to come, bring your friends, family, and anyone who supports your journey through graduate school. This event is free. Graduate students from all schools within the University System of Maryland (USM) are invited!

Friends and family members of students who have participated in PROMISE are invited.
If you are from another school, e.g., Howard, Hopkins, GW, and have come to a PROMISE event in the past such as SSI, you are also invited to participate.

Parking is free on weekends. The nearest parking to the building is located on Commons Drive. It is the only parking structure on the street. Follow the driving directions in the Google map link below.

All PROMISE grads (master’s and doctoral degree recipients) will be celebrated! If you are graduating (December 2016, May 2017), please send email to promisestaff@gmail.com with the subject “Graduate!” so that you can be recognized. Please state your name, school, department, and degree program.
You may bring games and other items to make your afternoon enjoyable. Food and beverages will be provided. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed.

From 95 (North or South)
The UMBC Exit is THE SAME EXIT off of 95 for the BWI Marshall Airport.
Follow the signs for UMBC, Rt. 166, Catonsville.
Once you are on UMBC’s campus (landmarks: Silo on the left, BW Research Park on the right plus construction), stay in the right lane.
* Make a RIGHT onto Hilltop Circle.
* Pass Administration Drive (immediately past the parking garage)
* Make the 2nd LEFT onto Commons Drive.
The Commons Building will be in front of you. It is a multi-leveled glass walled building. Park in any open space or open lot after 3:30. If you park at a meter, you must have coins available to pay the metered fees.
The Commons is surrounded by the Parking Garage, the Physics Building, the Public Policy Building, and the Theatre. You will know that you are in the right place because Commons Drive ends in a loop with these buildings at the edges.
If you come into the Commons Drive entrance you will be on the ground floor.
